The eastern region has made its mark in the Ghanaian music scene, it has graced the industry with names like Kofi Sammy, Kwadwo Antwi, Elder Mireku, Dasebre Gyamera, Ohemaa Mercy, internationally Rocky Dawuni and the likes, Ghana is about to enjoy yet another sensational art from the eastern region known in showbiz circles as Abby k.

"Abby K", known officially as Abena Kyerewa is a young singer/songwriter from koforidua, who over the years has performed on various platforms and received praise for great skill and vocal prowess on her renditions. She had a penchant for music at a tender age and did it as a hobby. She is however, taking music as a profession now to help accomplish her dreams and aspirations in life. She performs mainly in the Ghanaian originated guitar music genre highlife, but further shows dexterity on afropop and pop and has experimented with other genres as well.

Her greatest inspirer in life is Apostle Kwadwo Safo; for the man to have risen above the limited opportunities in the country to become the owner of an automobile company is an achievement that inspires her and also gives her the courage that she can achieve anything she sets her mind to.

Artists she love listening to are the 'its late' hit maker Adina and the Princess of Africa, the legendary South African singer/songwriter Yvonne Chaka Chaka.
